Participants will learn open and closed mindfulness, and several adaptations of EFT (known as tapping),   This interactive workshop will conclude with a short Yoga Nidra session.

Release, Receive, Renew:

In this keynote and workshop, Rhei C. will walk participants through the EFT choices technique, and a variation on EFT called EFTA developed by Dr. Henry Grayson.  In addition, participants will be taught methods of muscle testing to identify hidden barriers and target areas for clearing.  The workshop will conclude with an overview and guided session of Yoga Nidra.  Participants will use this process to release old patterns, welcome new intentions, and renew their energy.

EFT, also known as tapping or psychological acupressure, involves tapping specific points on the body, primarily on the head and the face, in a particular sequence. While doing this, the person focuses on the issue that they wish to treat. The technique can be helpful for people with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, stress, and other challenges.

As with acupuncture and acupressure, tapping involves the body’s energy meridian points, which are a concept in Chinese medicine. Tapping on these meridian points with the fingertips can restore the balance of energy to resolve physical and emotional issues.  It can also work in a similar way to mindfulness, as it can draw a person’s attention to their body and breathing. It may serve as a mental distraction from the issues that are causing anxiety or stress.

Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that uses both closed and open mindfulness. Through body sensing, breath awareness, guided imagery and other practices, it switches you out of flight or fight and into the relaxation response — your body’s natural healing state. Twenty minutes of Yoga Nidra can feel like 2-3 hours of sleep and aid with insomnia.
